Hola
Hmmm, a week passed since I last wrote anything here. I guess there really just has not been too much to write about lately. I'm nearing the end of the trial balloon period at work and spinning my wheels trying to "impress" the boss so she can impress her boss so I can maybe keep my job. A multitude of things happening seem to suggest I may not get to stick around past the first or second week of January. We shall see. I keep taking the criticism given to me and I keep plugging away at trying to do the next right thing.
Other than that I listened to the "Shat's" (as C. likes to call him) CD to the point that I am almost tired of it, but then I think nope, and crank it up in my car again. After being scarred by my last movie going experience, I've avoided the talkie's like the plague. Not really. I want to see Oceans 12 and I know there was another movie that came out this weekend, but I really can't remember. I just don't have time.
As I now sit here, I also remember the deluxe boxed set of LOTK: Return of the King came out, when? I believe it was Tuesday. I really must have my head up my ass to have forgotten that bit of info. I hopped and skipped around two weeks ago when I thought it came out on the 4th instead of the 14th and took a solemn oath to pick up the four disc package as soon as it came out. I guess I have plans for today before doing some work related stuff.

I finally did it--I listened to part of Shatner's CD. I must admit, some of the tunes are very catchy. I liked Common People the best. Thanks for the recommendation, though I'm not sure that I can ever be as big of a fan as you! Maybe I need some more time to acquire the taste.
If you are still looking for a good book, try Tom Wolfe's newest I Am Charlotte Simmons. I just couldn't put it down.
Yes, "Has Been" is an aquired taste. Hopefully with the slow time at work I can pick up at least one of the books you mentioned, either at Barnes and Noble or at the local library. Keep listening to the CD. It gets better. :) I particularly like the one spoken only track. Very depressing, but somehow worthwhile.
