Holiday shopping

I'm lucky this year. I actually have a fair amount of cash to spend on other people. Two of those people are going to get spectacular gifts since, well, I owe it to them. The down side to this is that one of these people is having me buy presents for the other person since person A has not bought person B a gift on their own for a number of years. It actually sort of baffles me that two people could be married so long, that person B could know exactly to what to get person A, but person A has not an effing clue. It would almost be "cute" if person B understood why this happens every year. Person B will be slightly hurt, wondeirng why and finally settling on being happy knowing at least person C or D has a better idea of their likes. It will also give them further blackmail material to get more of what they want later on. Oh, the webs we weave. At least it won't be like a Christmas many years ago where person B got a vacuum cleaner -- yes, a vacuum cleaner -- and worst of all, clothes selected from the VERY big and tall section. That was a Christmas morning to remember.
